Welcome to Tabby's world!

I am Matthew Vincent Tabilog, a Master of Environmental Science in Biosphere Science student at Akkeshi Marine Station, Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere of Hokkaido University in Japan.

My current research revolves around the seasonal dynamics of Zosteraceae seagrasses in Eastern Hokkaido. 

Proud to announce as well that I am a Filipino recipient of the pretigious MEXT Scholarship of the Japanese Government. I hope to contribute to marine botanical studies in the Philippines in the future.

Beyond my research, I am a science communicator and active environment advocate. I founded Mangrove Matters PH, where I currently serve as the Advisor to mainstream youth-led mangrove advocacy and conservation in my country. Further, I serve as the Chair of the East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership Youth Task Force and the Knowledge and Capacity Building Lead of Youth Engaged in Wetlands.
